… I’ve officially been discharged from RihannaNavy tonight.

For reasons far too personal, I can not and will not condone the support of domestic violence or abuse. Yes, I believe whole heatedly in the act of forgiveness, as it’s an essential part of life, but what I do not believe in is re-inviting the source of abuse back into your life, where the possibility for a relapse can occur.

One may argue that Chris Brown hasn’t acted out with violence in the past three years following the incident, but that’s a fallacy. There has been numerous accounts of random bursts of anger, which simply shows that he has yet to take full control of his actions when he’s overcome by rage.

It appears that Rihanna hasn’t been able to shake the “obsession” she had for Chris, and is slowly falling back into the “dangerous” relationship they both shared. How could she possibly go back to him after those events? How could she possibly fall back in love with an individual who physically abused her to the point where she became unconscious, almost taking away her life?

It’s sad to see her give up or give in, because I know she’s better than that. She deserves better than that. Her fans; who have looked up to her for being such a strong individual and standing up for domestic violence, deserve better than that. I just hope that she can live with the fact that she’s sharing air, space, love, life or whatever it may be with a monster.

I wish Rihanna the best of luck with her career, personal life, what have you. Yes, I will continue to listen to her music, but her idol status has officially been diminished. Such a sad day.
